I was blown away by the different styles of brickwork in Maastricht this weekend. Each wall displayed its own version of brick with different clays, manufacuturing methods, grouts, colors, patterns, etc. It was a symphony of clay and craftsmanship played across centuries.
The style of the brickwork on the far right especially caught my eye. The geometric styling and dimensional presence of the grout makes each brick look compartmentalized into its precise slot.
