Design OCD
Reading this article in the NYTimes makes my inner OCD perk up. The need for the individuals in this story to design their homes within such strict boundaries is undeniably compulsive, but at the same time somewhat calming. When designing I have always found comfort in boundaries; if you have a clear understanding of the 'problems', you are better able to 'solve' them. Reading this article makes me want to strip our apartment of all unnecessaries when we get home. Everything in its place.
Sometimes when I'm in a desperate fit of the 'I-Have-Nothing-To-Wears', I think about how easy it would be in impart boundaries on my wordrobe. I'm on the verge of creating a work uniform of black pants, button down,V-neck sweater. It all sounds dreamily easy....
